weekend snapshots

It's been awhile since we've been to one of our bulldog meetups, but with all the gorgeous weather we've been having lately, we just couldn't resist. We met a cream colored Frenchie named Beefy...who was an even bigger ham than Pancho!



Spring has sprung! We've been busy buying flowers and planting seeds in our garden...this year, we are trying tomatillos and spicy peppers.


We stumbled upon the Fort Worth Water Gardens, known as a "cooling oasis in the concrete jungle of downtown". I've never seen anything like it...there was a quiet meditation pool, an aerating pool, and an active waterfall.

Yep, since I'm terrified of heights, this was the lowest step I could stand on without having a full-on panic attack. Nevermind that there were little kids running around everywhere...

bulldog meetup

This past Saturday, we met up with a bunch of other English bulldog owners at a nearby park for their monthly meetup. Even though this was Pancho's first time attending, it's like he knew immediately that these were his "peeps". Finally, friends that could play rough and that were built just like him! All of the people were super friendly and excited to be there...not to mention we had a blast meeting all of the bullies: Winston, Bowser, Daisy, Lily, Moe and Smedley - we'll see you all again next month! :)

I shared this video on twitter earlier this week...honestly, what could be cuter than two frenchies just chillin' on swings? They seem to be loving it too! :)

bulldog birthday party

If you've read this blog for more than a few days then you know my love for bulldogs (ie. here, here and here). So I think my heart pretty much exploded when I saw these photos of a recent bulldog birthday party! Can you imagine? All those goofy faces and chubby legs running around together! I vow to start my very own bulldog club someday, no matter where I live. See more of her pics here.

P.S. Do you think dogs can recognize their own breed? I wonder...

Happy Friday! Any fun plans for the weekend? I'm headed uptown to see the boy...we are going to do some boring stuff (ie. finish our wedding website and the invitations) but also some fun stuff too (ie. have brunch at our favorite museum cafe). See you next week! xoxo
