Branching out from just food photos...

one: peonies are now in season, huzzah! all girly girls rejoice!
two: my current beauty obsessions - stila convertible color (i think i may be the last person on earth to have discovered this), clinique CC cream, and chloe eau de parfum...seriously just the best.

weekend snapshots

It's been awhile since we've been to one of our bulldog meetups, but with all the gorgeous weather we've been having lately, we just couldn't resist. We met a cream colored Frenchie named Beefy...who was an even bigger ham than Pancho!



Spring has sprung! We've been busy buying flowers and planting seeds in our garden...this year, we are trying tomatillos and spicy peppers.


We stumbled upon the Fort Worth Water Gardens, known as a "cooling oasis in the concrete jungle of downtown". I've never seen anything like it...there was a quiet meditation pool, an aerating pool, and an active waterfall.

Yep, since I'm terrified of heights, this was the lowest step I could stand on without having a full-on panic attack. Nevermind that there were little kids running around everywhere...

rose necklace

While I am more of a simple jewelry kind of gal, I can't help but be drawn to this beautiful beaded rose necklace. What a statement piece! Too bad it's sold out (and all over eBay, apparently). 

paper flowers

I love the idea of having a papered flower bouquet for a wedding...the best part being you can keep them long after the wedding is over. These are made from tissue paper, crepe paper and card stock!

floral skirt

The prettiest floral skirt I have ever seen. Am loving these shorts too.

pink placemats

Fabulous floral placemats in various pinks...perfect on a breakfast table. I love how they are all slightly different from each other...

flower hooks

Aren't these wall hooks so cute? I think they would look so pretty next to an entryway...

airplants + wedding

Omigosh, what a gorgeous idea by this bride and groom to use airplants for their wedding! Absolutely stunning, not to mention her dress...see more lovely photos on Feather Love Photography's blog.

house plants

Kyle & I spent most of our weekend buying/working on house stuff. From this, I've learned that:

1) It is very easy to lose track of time when you're at Home Depot and

2) The things you buy for a house can add up quick. And it gets expensive.

I was very pleased to come home with two new additions though and am very much in love with them. It's the small things that make a huge difference sometimes , don't you agree? (Top: a little fern next to our bathroom window. Bottom: bright yellow/green pom poms by the kitchen windowsill.)

Gorgeous gorgeous flowers from Paris...I'm so happy that spring is finally here! Now to enjoy the 2 weeks worth of perfect weather before the blistering Texas heat rolls around :)
