Am I the only one that gets super excited-in-a-giddy-way when it comes time to buy postage stamps? The designs we can choose from now are ridiculous! Like little pieces of artwork on your mail...

happy friday + giant balloon animals!

Yay for Friday! Do you have any fun plans this weekend? I'm hoping to check out the Fort Worth Zoo tomorrow as I've heard it's one of the best in Texas. Speaking of animals, how great are these oversized balloon animal installations? Totally random but they made me smile...have a good one!

I have to say...this is such a creative idea for a cake! How cute are those rolo type keys? :) I'd like to eat them one by one...and the attention to detail is just fantastic. Yum, happy Monday!

Omigosh, how cool are these toasters (and from a toaster museum no less!)? I could look at them all day, but it would probably make me hungry...there's nothing I love more than a buttery piece of toast + jam with my morning coffee :)

mark rothko post-it

I'm a big fan of Mark Rothko's paintings so this totally made me smile...who knew office supplies could be put to such good use? I bought a print of the No.14/No. 10 (Yellow Greens) from an old bookstore for 99 cents way back in the day, and I still love seeing it on my desk at work everyday!

love stamps!

Found out yesterday (as I was paying some bills) that I am still using old Nutcracker stamps from last xmas! Felt silly for using them but stamps are stamps...it did send me on a mission in search of some cute ones that I could use all year round. I've always been a fan of the "LOVE" stamp series so when I saw the Zazzle ones above, I fell in love! Check out other designs here. And while they are perfect for weddings, thank yous and birthdays...I wouldn't mind using them to pay my bills either :)

rainbow colors

Lately I've been drawn to colorful things...maybe because it's been so grey and gloomy here weather-wise recently. Below are some that I've been craving for - if only my pocketbook wasn't so sad and empty.

What I wouldn't give for a gooey, creamy, super chocolate-y caramel right now...and maybe some marshmallow wouldn't hurt either. Yummm...
