wallpaper downloads
A new year means a fresh start...and new mobile/desktop wallpapers! It's funny how such a small change can have such a big impact on me...though maybe it's because I spend a huge part of my day either on my computer or iPhone.
My favorite source for free online wallpapers right now is via designlovefest. Currently, I am using one of Ashley Goldberg's designs (the very top one), as she has been one of my favorite artists since that time she painted a portrait of Kyle and me. To see more wallpaper downloads, click here.

pool prints
These underwater paintings by Samantha French are incredible (or should I say "refreshing" haha). Her inspiration stems from childhood summers spent by the lakes of northern Michigan. I love how realistic the ripples look...see the rest of her prints here.

art nail decals
How fun are these Mark Rothko nail decals? I am a big fan of his paintings and love how he could take any color combination and turn it into something beautiful...
P.S. Check out these cats!

being a girl

Yeah, this comic by U.K.-based illustrator Gemma Correll pretty much sums it up (click on each photo to enlarge)...
P.S. This one is pretty hilarious too:)

original art
There's something so grown up about owning an original piece of art...don't you agree? Loving these one-of-a-kind watercolors by Malissa Ryder...

postage stamps
Am I the only one that gets super excited-in-a-giddy-way when it comes time to buy postage stamps? The designs we can choose from now are ridiculous! Like little pieces of artwork on your mail...

custom pet portrait
Like a lot of people, I'm partial to personalized gifts...and it doesn't get any more personalized than a custom portrait of your pet. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but I don't think I could ever get tired of staring at a painting of Mr. Pancho himself! His big, soulful eyes just kill me. Must bookmark for next year...

pretty maps
These city maps by Aaron Straup Cope are like little works of art...so pretty when displayed in a white Ikea frame too. I love our big map of Iceland in our dining room so I may need to get one of these too...

stately sandwiches
Such a cute concept! Design student, Kelly Pratt, has set out to make (and eat) a sandwich that represents each of the 50 states...and then turn it into a little piece of art. I'd say the Texas sandwich looks about right. See more here.

patchwork birds
These patchwork birds are all hand sewn by Abigail Brown in her London studio...such lovely, vibrant colors! And of course, no two will ever be the same.

one with the blanket
I'm thinking about getting this print for our home...isn't it beautiful?
See more of Clare's work below...I find the way she uses color mesmerizing. There's also something very peaceful about them.
