Kyle and I sent a variety of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams to our friends, Kevin and Joy, as a wedding present a few weeks ago (see wedding weekend here). With flavors such as strawberry buttermilk, salty caramel, and brown butter almond brittle, they all sounded pretty incredible. So far, we've heard good reviews...now I just need to find an excuse to order a pint for us to try...or maybe a few of their homemade macaroon ice cream sandwiches (um, amazing!!!):

I just happened upon your blog and noticed this post. I just happen to be sitting here with Jeni's new cookbook ... Jeni's Spendid Ice Creams at Home. I'm sure I could make them as good as she does, but the cookbook is a droolingly good read ...
I personally love her macaroons ... well worth the $5 if you're lucky enough to live near Columbus :)
Yum! Well, they look fantastic.
I had no idea she had a cookbook! Will definitely have to look into that...will also need to look into visiting Ohio for those macaroons in the near future:)
