botanic garden

With both my parents and little sister in town, we decided to take them to the Japanese gardens for a look around. I love that this little gem is tucked away, off a busy road in the middle of Fort Worth... 

I've never been to Japan before (airport excluding) but I'd like to think they've captured a few of the same calming and enchanting qualities that Japan is known for. 

I keep telling Kyle we need to turn our backyard into a version of this...

We can't wait to go back this fall to see all of the red and orange foliage...gotta love those Japanese maple trees!
