honeymoon ideas

So with all of the recent volcano news lately, I'm thinking a honeymoon to Iceland is out of the question. Our next thought was to visit Greece - especially Santorini because it is both romantic and peaceful. Plus there is so much history to explore within the country itself. The only problem is it's pretty expensive despite the recession that's currently going on over there...do you have any suggestions on where we should visit? Any help is appreciated!

Oh, Greece would be amazing! My boyfriend's father is from Greece and the way he talks about it makes me wonder why he ever could leave such a place, haha! It is too bad about the economic crisis that's going on over there, though. Did you rule out Maine as a honeymoon spot? How about Spain?

Or Italy! I went to Italy once a long time ago and loved it. I was in Rome, which was far preferable to Venice.

Also, New Zealand is gorgeous too, but it may be way too pricey.

I live near Greece...I enjoy it, however it is really expensive. Rome is a far better deal..

Also it depends on what time of the year your are coming.....

Santorini is really beautiful thou......

I love Croatia, and it's not nearly as expensive as Greece. :)

Santorini is an amazing place for a honeymoon-I went there for mine. The history aspect wasn't so interesting ten years ago, but like you said, it is very romantic.
