black booties

After doing a little clothes shopping this weekend, it is official - black booties/shooties are in for fall. I saw them everywhere I looked, every fashion magazine I glanced at...so, I've now started my own quest for the perfect pair of black boots! I'm not really looking that hard yet, considering Austin is still 100F+ every day...but it's never too early to plan right? Here are some of my current favorites:

Corso Como 'Gianna' - Hands down one of my favorite brands for sandals, they also make gorgeous boots. Soft suede booties adorned with a lovely bow, you can't get any cuter than that.

Fossil 'Allison' - Anyone who knows me can tell you that I love shoes with wooden heels, they go with everything (not to mention the support they offer). These boots are amazing...and who knew Fossil even made shoes!

Nine West 'Facade' - I'm obsessed with stud detailing (yes, I used to own a bedazzler), especially when it gives a shoe a rocker-ish sort of edge. They are also available in red (LOVE) and blue.

Chie Mihara 'Atame' - More of a "shootie" than a bootie...and perhaps the girliest shootie of all. I mean, who doesn't love ruffles?!

Will you be getting a pair of black booties this fall?

I have the Chie Miharas and love them! They are sold out on Anthropologie already. Chie also offers a taller-shaft bootie with grosgrain ribbon in the back. Both black and taupe colors available at Revolve, among other places. Very nice but I can't justify more than one grosgrain ribbon pair, even Chie Miharas.
