whimsy & spice

How cute is this little bakery out of Brooklyn called Whimsy & Spice? Run by a husband (chef) and wife (designer/photographer/marketer) team, their handmade treats look tasty enough to eat right out of the computer! So far I've tried the chocolate gingersnaps and the caramel marshallows - both were super yummy (as they were both gone in about 4.5 seconds...I think I need to work on my willpower). They also have an adorable blog here.

Mmm, I'm dying to eat those marshmallows right out of my monitor! :P This is one more reason for me to return to the Northeast! Have you found any delicious bakeries in Austin?

Oh man, I wish we had those in Houston! Or at least, I wish I knew about the great bakeries in Houston! When I was in Boston, I went to Sweet and Party Favors for cupcakes, and there was a pie and bread bakery right across from each other in a suburb that was a 40-minute train ride out. It was totally worth the commute!

Wow, those look good and it sounds like they make a great team...Wouldn't you love to go to work everyday if you could look forward to the sights, sounds and smells of a bakery.
