This past weekend was somewhat of a busy one compared to our usual 'hanging out and doing nothing' routine. Kyle and I found our new favorite sushi spot, took Pancho to his very first dog park (photos to come), attended one of Kyle's coworker's 40th birthday party, and visited the nearby garden nursery to pick up a few plants for an herb garden. I can't believe we are already deciding on what to plant this year and it's only February. Madness. Also had a small get together with our wonderful neighbors...where I made a pear, cranberry and gingersnap crumble, inspired by this post. I had to use frozen cranberries since fresh ones were no longer in season, but it still turned out pretty tasty in the end.
I had to look twice after seeing these prints...since they reminded me of this...but wow, how fascinating that the artist uses plastic animals and dollhouse furniture to create them. Made me smile:)

Hahah yep, this is pretty much the exact outfit I've been wearing to bed lately..I'm such a wimp when it comes to the cold. A girl can't look cute all the time, am I right?

Kyle and I had brunch at our favorite spot for Valentine's...in keeping with our annual breakfast tradition, Kyle ordered the mushroom strata, but I cheated and went with the panini + tomato espresso soup (no regrets though!). Topped it off with a pink coconut cupcake just because. It was the perfect little date for just the two of us. xo.
My jaw dropped when I saw these printed pieces by Mary Katrantzou for Topshop...I'm no fashion blogger, but that dress is out of this world!
Saw these macarons on Etsy and I'm thinking I need to order a box to distract me from my Monday blues...
Any big plans for the weekend? Kyle and I will be celebrating Valentine's Day early (I'm sure lots of other couples are doing the same) and I'm super excited. Our tradition is to go out for breakfast each year so we will be doing just that. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Pretty adorable if you ask me...and oh-so perfect for Valentine's!
Drove to Kyle's parents' ranch house for a little r&r this weekend and to also celebrate his mom's birthday. Pancho seemed to enjoy himself - though that was probably the result of a crazy puppy play-fest with an adorable silver lab pup named Izzy. The surprisingly chilly weather (finally!) gave us a chance to take advantage of the fireplace and boy was it glorious. Came back home and immersed ourselves in a little football...which was pretty entertaining in itself if you ask me.
