Discovered the cutest online kitchen shop last night - Mignon Kitchen Co. offers lovely goods for your kitchen, pantry and tabletop. The photos are gorgeous and I'm already dreaming about the fondue au chocolat...
Nothing like homemade granola, yogurt and fresh fruit to start the day off right...
Celebrated Chinese New Year with the doors and windows open to our house pretty much the entire time...still can't believe this ridiculous weather in the middle of January. Sunny and warm, breezy perfection. Not that I'm complaining or anything. Kyle and I stopped by the carnival that was in town, where I was reminded of my love for caramel apples and my hate for amusement park rides...you'd think after +10 years of not being on one would make it a little easier to stomach but no...Kyle took a few photos (not pictured here) of me screaming my head off in fear as we rode a merry-go-round-swing type of a ride. I think it's a pretty popular one with kids. Also attempted to make a Korean green onion pancake (Pa Jeon) for the first time with moderate success...next time I'll be sure to use less batter as it got a little messy when I tried flipping it in the pan. Overall, a weekend filled with small happy moments here in good 'ol Fort Worth.
Yay for the weekend! Kyle's dad makes fun of me all the time for posting photos of my feet on the blog, but what's a girl to do when she's wearing her favorite pair of shoes on a gorgeous 73°F day like today?

Haven't done a weekend post in awhile and even though I was battling pretty bad allergies the entire time, I still managed to get out and enjoy a cheeseburger or two (ok, really just one...but I could have easily eaten two). Check out my new plates I found at the antique mall...came across a fabulous way to decorate our dining room through the wonders of Pinterest!
P.S. Pancho's eyes are red because he suffers from allergies too, just like his mom:)

P.S. Did anyone catch last night's episode of Parks and Recreation? They did a small bit about stop motion (which was hilarious) but this particular scene had me laughing to the point of almost crying. I heart Amy Poehler!

Spent the weekend doing a little bit of decorating here and there...one of my 2012 resolutions is to [finally] finish furnishing our house. We are fast approaching the two year mark this April but due to the lack of unlimited funds, it has taken us awhile to find and buy things we both like. I can't wait to post a few photos of our home once I'm done though (I'm sooo close, I can feel it)! Oh and my other New Year's resolution is a continuation of last year's goals (see #5)...
My favorite beauty product in the world right now is Benefit's Watt's Up! highlighter...have you tried it? I use it on my cheeks and browbones for a champagne glow...and I've found it's all I really need for my face to look fresh (along with some tinted moisturizer of course).
I'm also a little obsessed with Burt's Bees tinted lip balm, that I got as a stocking stuffer from Kyle's parents...was never really a fan of Burt's but this one just glides on so smooth! And just the right amount of color too:)
Um, I made these last night and even though I was skeptical at first, they were incredible! I was worried I would be let down since they look like sweet potato fries (which I love)...but I think I actually prefer these since the texture is more chewy and less mushy. I'm a texture kind of girl after all.

I can't believe another year has flown by...it's definitely been a challenging one for me to say the least and I am both happy and sad to see it come to a close. Kyle and I celebrated NYE in Austin by going out to dinner (you can see the restaurant in the background even though it wasn't intentional...lucky shot!), followed by champagne and crazy party hats with friends.
