argan oil

My current beauty product obsession is Josie Maran's Argan oil. Have you tried it? I use it in place of eye cream and it does wonders for me, wrinkles be gone! It's also 100% organic, super fast absorbing and is supposed to heal and condition everything from cuticles to split ends. I'm thinking of trying the sunblock next...

Also pictured: Clinique's Moisture Surge moisturizer, my favorite perfume of all time and a Hello Kitty perfume sample that I got from Sephora...which smells surprisingly yummy.

weekend snapshots

Drove down to Houston this past weekend for a good friend's wedding (Kyle was the best man)...there were so many parts that made our time there so fantastic. Well besides what seemed like hundreds of intersecting highways and the constant construction going on (even close to midnight!)...but we very much enjoyed hanging out with the bride and groom's wonderful families, eating coconut pie and bacon and peanut butter burgers (yes you read that right), exploring downtown, seeing old high school friends and meeting the cutest baby with the cutest cowlick ever for the first time. The groom's nintendo cake and the hipster DJ helped too.

On our way back home, we met up with my sister for some tasty brunch and I finally got to see her new apartment (well, new from last December)...I'm a bad sister. See ya later Houston!

pancho + dinnertime

Just thought you'd like to see what Pancho looks like during his meals...yes, that is him lying on his belly while eating at the same time. The best part is after he's finished, he'll pick up his empty bowl with his mouth and bang it against the kitchen walls and cabinets, as if to say "Please sir, I want some more"! Yep, he's a regular Oliver Twist that one.

*Photos were taken a few weeks ago...he is much bigger now and eats much more than what is shown.

**White stuff mixed in with his kibble = organic plain white yogurt (to help combat his smelly you-know-whats). So far it's working pretty well!

weekend snapshots

Made a quick trip to Austin this past weekend for some much needed "me" time...full of candy-apple red pedicures, cowboy tacos and lots of retail therapy...for outrageously overpriced sunglasses (I heart you Tom Ford) and scented candles, among other things. I'm so thankful to have the most amazing girlfriends ever (and their equally amazing husbands) to always make me feel so welcome every time I go back. I miss them constantly.

Came back home to this little face waiting for me a piece of my quesadilla to "accidentally" fall to the floor. Oh bully.

Since Pancho has pretty much taken over the blog (and our lives, really), I thought I'd post a few photos of my Hallie girl...here she is lying on her favorite rug, trying her best to blend in:)

Now that we've evolved into a two dog family, I've been on the hunt for comfy dog beds that mesh well with the rest of our home. Is it just me or are 99% of dog beds absolutely hideous? Found these after doing a quick search on Apartment Therapy...love the neutral colors and the heart-shaped shrimp pillow especially.

Now if only a certain puppy would hurry up with his potty training...

I'm a big fan of Flora's watercolor paintings and prints, so of course I love that she has expanded her shop to include these pretty necklaces. I like how she tells you in her descriptions which skin tones go best with each of her pieces...

If our house didn't already have a sign, I'd totally have to buy these house numbers from Heath Ceramics...they are so timeless! Still saving up for this teapot though...
