one more month!

Wow, I can't believe that in exactly one month, I will be getting married!!! It is such a surreal feeling...and in the moment I don't want to jump off a cliff from all of the wedding planning stress (just yet). Speaking of surreal, I was going through old photos with Kyle's mom the other day and we found this one from their wedding day:

Isn't it adorable? Kyle's mom looks so beautiful and I love his dad's bowtie...you can really see the family resemblance to Kyle too, don't you think? :)

kimono robe

I have to admit, I am loving this kimono robe by plumprettysugar...it's made of a habutai silk fabric from India. Isn't it gorgeous? It's perfect for a honeymoon (or better yet, lounging around the house with a cup of coffee).

cavachon puppies

I was watching Dogs 101 with my sister and Kyle this past weekend and the episode happened to be about "designer dogs". Among the more popular breeds such as the labradoodle, puggle and chiweenie, we found out there is a breed called the "cavachon"…which is made up of the 2 cutest breeds ever (in my opinion): the King Charles Cavalier and the Bichon. How adorable is Katie the cavachon?! I love that she has giant, brownish tan colored ears and big lovable eyes...I am smitten...

What an adorable faux sheepskin cloud rug! And the best part is, it's DIY! Check out the how-to here (she used them to decorate her baby's nursery aww).

Must. make. this. I can almost smell the braided lemon bread through the computer! Only instead of lemon curd for the filling, I would use nutella...oh nutella, how I could eat a whole jar of you in one sitting...

During our short trip to LA, we met up with the incredibly talented Max Wanger and his lovely wife, Margaux, for our engagement photo shoot. What I love most about his work is his ability to capture emotion in the subtlest way. The two of them were so sweet and we had an amazing time exploring Tree People together. So happy the weekend is finally here, aren't you? I'm so excited because Kyle will be in town and we plan to celebrate his belated birthday, shop for more house stuff and hopefully try out a local frozen banana stand (haha...their name is so great!). Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

house plants

Kyle & I spent most of our weekend buying/working on house stuff. From this, I've learned that:

1) It is very easy to lose track of time when you're at Home Depot and

2) The things you buy for a house can add up quick. And it gets expensive.

I was very pleased to come home with two new additions though and am very much in love with them. It's the small things that make a huge difference sometimes , don't you agree? (Top: a little fern next to our bathroom window. Bottom: bright yellow/green pom poms by the kitchen windowsill.)
