How fantastic are these images from The Photographic Dictionary project? What a clever idea...and all of the photos are just stunning (I especially love that cat one). The best part is, it's still relatively new so they are still accepting submissions (tell all of your photographer friends)!

Love this gorgeous papercut print by Elsa Mora - I love how the incredibly intricate details somehow still make it seem so simple...a more creative take to the typical silhouette portrait...

all week long barrettes

Boy do I wish I was 5 years old again and able to wear adorable little barrettes like these! Mine were all made of plastic and shaped like animals...although they were always color coordinated to match my outfits (thanks mom!).

Forgive me for being super-girly, but I just realized that I have yet to post about shoes! Here's a vintage pair that I am coveting right now...I love the gorgeous tan color and the scalloped edges...these would match pretty much anything in my wardrobe...not that I need another pair of shoes though...

I think 'food of the month clubs' are genius - it somehow always feels like an unexpected gift at your door (because you usually forget you're in one). So how fantastic would it be to get a monthly tub of mac 'n cheese delivered to you? Pretty heavenly I think...

anna karenina

I finally finished reading Anna Karenina and I have to say, it really is as good as everyone says. Didn't think I'd be able to make it through the 800+ pages but it was well worth it - a beautiful, incredibly sad and tragic love story...all the way to the end. Plus the fact that it takes place during 19th century Russia only adds to the drama!

Gorgeous gorgeous flowers from Paris...I'm so happy that spring is finally here! Now to enjoy the 2 weeks worth of perfect weather before the blistering Texas heat rolls around :)

There is something so girly and romantic about having a flower or something sparkly in your hair. Thought up by two stylists in L.A., they also make gorgeous belts!

Don't these look yummy? I had never heard of them before but they're cake pops - which is essentially cake on a stick! I think these would be great for birthdays...and way cuter than a traditional cake.

This sandwich sponge from MOMA is just too cute. It looks so real that I think I'd be tempted to eat it everytime I washed the dishes...not a good thing. I would miss the bread crust though...

I've been wanting to organize my desk space at home a little better, so how cute would it be to have a little whale chalkboard like this one? It would sure make the 11 post-it notes I have on my wall now obsolete.

Have you heard of humanclock.com? It's a website that shows a photograph of the current time (sometimes you really have to look for it), with the photo changing every minute of the day. I think the concept is so creative and the fact that you can submit your own pretty much guarantees that there are some wacky/hilarious clock pictures out there.

furniture chess set

Chess is so much fun, but I think it would be a little hard to play with the set above by Rachel Whitehead. It's still adorable though, I especially love that there are 'king' & 'queen' stovetops...also look at the tiny wooden stool! :)

blackbird bakery

You know I love breakfast. Well I recently discovered Blackbird Bakery on etsy, Texas's first gourmet gluten-free bakeshop. Based out of Austin, they offer a wide range of treats from biscotti and banana bread to gingersnaps and apple pie...And while I am not actually allergic to gluten or suffer from wheat sensitivities, their desserts are so delicious, I actually prefer them to the "real thing"!

scarf weather

Came back from oh-so-perfect Miami beach weather to a surprisingly chilly Austin. It is definitely scarf weather. Really makes me wish I had a giant scarf - it's both warm and fashionable!
